I'm hungry!

Looks like the little man wants a big meal for dinner! Last night he got seconds (nursed and got his first bottle of formula) and he slept through the night!

Warner's been fussin' the last couple of nights which is really unusual for him b/c he never cries. He's teething (the bottom front ones are bulging!) which makes it more uncomfortable for him as he has to work harder to nurse than he does with a bottle that flows easily. I also thought he might still be hungry as he kept pulling off during his evening feeding. I decided to give him formula for the first time to see if he was still hungry and he sucked down 4oz . That was at 7pm and he didn't move until 5am! And even then I think it was only then b/c I was up getting ready to leave super early for my continuing legal education class in Knoxville. Hopefully tonight we'll have a repeat as I'm pooped!

Gloves are for what???

After Bill mows the grass in the summer he puts on these latex gloves to pick up the grass so his fingernails don't turn green. When he's done he walks around the backyard and picks up the dog poop while wearing the gloves with a trash bag in hand.

Well with the weather turning cold we dug out a pair of mittens that Laura (Bill's older sister) sent us. We put them on Jordan and told her they were mittens. She looked at them with a perplexed look on her face and said, "gloves....pick up the dog poop!" We laughed sooo hard and tried to explain these were mittens that kept our hands warm. Crazy how she thought "I've heard that word gloves before. Hmmmm. Where did I here that. Oh yea. Daddy wears gloves to pick up the dog poop!"

Arm floats?

Last Saturday we all went to the YMCA. I worked out, Warner slept in the nursey and Daddy and Jordan played in the pool. She loves the water and is fearless! (At the beach she would jump off the steps in the pool holding my hand and go underwater and get up to do it again!!) Then one day this past week she was playing with the soft blocks that have cylinders, triangles and cubes in them. She took the cylinders out of two and put them on her arms and said, "Jump in the pool?" I totally cracked up and had to get a picture! She must of seen someone with those arm floats at the YMCA pool!

The last warm (semi) day? 11-12-08

Jordan loves being outside and she doesn't care how hot or how cold it is! We had one of the warmest "cold" days here on November 12th so Daddy, Jordan and Lois headed out into the backyard. Warner and I watched from inside while they chased Lois around and finally took a breather.

Thank Goodness for Family!

Family is something special. They are there for you always. We've experienced that more while I was working as a contract attorney for three months and our nanny needed some time off. We didn't know what to do since the project was almost over but then Nana came down from New Jersey to help out! What a blessing! And then just as she was leaving my project was extended yet again but my folks arrived just in time to pick up where Nana left off! We are so thankful for family! We love you Nana, Pop Pop, Sittee and Jida!

Happy Halloween!

So last year Bill was traveling and I stayed up very late the night before Halloween making Jordan a chicken costume. This year between working and a new baby, Jordan went as a bunny (I didn't make it) and Warner was his happy self! We did manage to carve pumpkins and get down to the neighborhood parade.

Bill's Birthday October 17, 08

We had a little group shin dig lunch at nearby Bowie Park in Fairview to celebrate! Jordan loves playing with the ducks there. And his cake was in honor of his spring ride on the Natchez Trace! That night we got a sitter and headed out to Mama Mia's a locally owned authentic Italian restaurant and had a bottle of red and a bottle of white...ok not really but I couldn't resist the Billy Joel reference.

Gentry Farms in the Fall!

Gentry Farm is just about 10 miles from our home just barely in the rolling hillside "country" near Nashville. It has a pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals and a hayride! It's tons of fun and gets you in the mood for fall! Last year I got a great pic of Jordan against a measuring stick and this year we had to repeat!

Polygamy?

So we have a running joke that Johnny T is my surrogate hubby! It all started with John, who works for Jack FM, having lots of free tix to events around town and when I was pregnant with Jordan and Bill was traveling, I was the date! John always introduced me, while pointing to my belly and saying, "I'm not responsible for that!" Niiiiiiice! Here he is holding Warner before we watched Hotel Rwanda (powerful!) while Bill was in CA.

Tumminello's Visit September 08

One of our favorite peeps in the world is our good friend John Tumminello. He's part of our family and when his lovely parents, Tom and Terri, come to visit we all get together! Here we are at the Spaghetti Factory in downtown Nashville. Mmmmm lasagna!

Our Annual Beach Trip!

What an awesome time we had at the Beach this year! We start the countdown to Labor Day beginning in January! This year was extra special as both mine and Bill's parents joined us and all the grandchildren were together! On our way down we spent the night in Greenville where Jordan and Warner enjoyed the pool. Then we hit the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Anderson before heading to Cherry Grove/North Myrtle Beach. We spent the days laying and playing on the beach and the nights cooking crab boils and enjoying time with family. Jordan went to sleep every night watching the ocean from our 13th floor suite and looking at the stars. Warner mostly slept on the beach! It could have only been better if it had lasted longer! This year we're staying longer!

Connie Visits!

We had a wonderful time visiting with Connie, our dear friend from NC! She made a little detour to hit Nashville on her way to Wisconsin. We caught up, took lots of pics and went for a great walk in Edwin Warner!
